ANTWERP TOWAGE NV is focussing primarily on harbour towage. The Port of Antwerp is divided in two areas. 'Behind' the locks, towage services are provided by the Port Authority itself. The area 'Before the locks' is consisting of various container terminals, the Deurgangdock as well as number of other piers and facilities up-river.

With the rapidly increasings size of modern containerships, shipowners must rely on towage providers to have the right equipment to handle their ships in a safe way in and out of the port or the locks.

Both partners Fairplay and Multraship have put special emphasis on providing technically 'state-of the art' tug boats to meet such requirements. Hoever the best 'hardware' is only as good as its crew handling it.

Both tugowners rely on experienced crews working with their companies since years in the various ports each towage provider is serving.
